The First Fall Chill: Capitalizing on October’s Demand Shift

After a mild start to autumn, a sharp weather transition will shift consumer purchasing patterns across the Central and Eastern U.S. Mid-to-upper 70s temperatures through the end of this week will give way to a strong cold front over the weekend.

As daytime highs drop into the low 60s and night-and-morning lows dip into the 40s across the Midwest, Northeast, and parts of the South, consumers will experience their coldest weather of the season so far.

The  arrival of crisp, cool air —and the demand surge that inevitably follows—will turn the tepid seasonal product interest seen in eastern markets of late into immediate, purposeful, and increasingly need-based purchases.
