Spring warmth dominated the western U.S. lifting demand for  lightweight clothing, sunglasses, and suncare products. In addition, sports drinks and bottled water were strong sellers. Retailers in the East had to deal with falling demand after late March had given them a taste of seasonal warmth.

  • April 2025 trended coolest since 2023 for the U.S. April was driest since 2021 overall.
  • This April, Canada was coolest since 2023 and both wettest and snowiest since 2022.
