PLANALYTICS GREENREPORT NORTH AMERICA: $1,000

From the time over-wintering crops come out of dormancy in the spring until combines and pickers exit fields in the fall, Planalytics GREEN REPORT uses satellite “greenness” imagery as a backdrop for explaining weather’s  impact on crops. Greenness is a measure of plants’ photosynthetic production at a given point in time; it is based on the Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI) that plant scientists developed decades ago.  With over 30 years of satellite data available, Planalytics weekly GREEN REPORT is particularly useful in comparing, at a glance, the current period to the previous one, to the same time last year, and against normal (average.)

PLANALYTICS GREENREPORT CROP YIELD FORECASTS: $2,500 PER CROP

Dating back nearly 20 years, Planalytics WINTER WHEAT, CORN and SOYBEAN Crop Yield Forecasts are the result of a collaborative effort between TerraMetrics Agriculture and analysts at the University of Kansas.  Our time-tested model is based on 30-plus years of satellite NDVI “Greenness” data and corresponding years of USDA data.  Beginning with WINTER WHEAT in late March, there are eight biweekly forecasts for each crop.  CORN and SOYBEANS pick up in early June – a full 8 to 10  weeks prior to USDA’s initial field survey-based projections. Bushel per acre estimates are provided at Crop Report District, state and national levels.

ON SEPTEMBER 11, PLANALYTICS’ 2019 FINAL CORN YIELD WAS 168.9 BU/AC;  USDA’S FINAL YIELD  CORN YIELD RELEASED FOUR MONTHS LATER WAS 168.0 BU/AC.

ON SEPTEMBER 11, PLANALYTICS’ 2019 FINAL SOYBEAN YIELD WAS 47.6 BU/AC;  USDA’S FINAL YIELD  SOYBEAN YIELD RELEASED FOUR MONTHS LATER WAS 47.4 BU/AC.
