Planalytics GreenReport

Utilizing remote satellite imagery to measure green plant material and biomass on the ground, Planalytics GreenReport provides a snapshot of plant health across North America. Digitized images are converted to Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI) values and mapped, making it easy to compare and analyze current vegetation conditions to the previous week, the same week last year, or to the average "greenness" for that period over the past 20 years.

Along with these maps, Planalytics Agricultural Business Weather Meteorologists provide analysis and commentary describing weather's impact, actual and forecast on vegetation health.

Planalytics GreenReport Crop Yield Forecasts

Based on 20 years of historic NDVI values correlated with final USDA season-end yield results.

Planalytics Crop Yield forecasts are issued bi-weekly beginning soon after crops emerge in the Spring. Maps and speadsheets containing yield estimates at the Agricultural Statistics District (ASDI), state and national level are provided along with analysis and commentary. Besides winter wheat, corn and soybeans, yield forecasts are also available for sorghum, Spring wheat, durum, oats and barley.
