Lead Generation & Sales Support Specialist

Planalytics is seeking an aggressive and highly motivated Lead Generation & Sales Support Specialist to educate key decision makers on Planalytics product offerings with the goal of developing leads into sales opportunities.

This position offers an opportunity to showcase your entrepreneurial spirit while helping this growing company exceed its sales targets.   You will be in communication with various industry leaders in the retail, consumer goods, energy, agriculture and financial space.  A sampling of Planalytics clients can be found at: www.planalytics.com/clients

Responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound calls and sending e-mails to prospects in targeted companies to introduce Planalytics Business Weather Intelligence solutions
  • Researching and Identifying key prospects at targeted accounts, industries and geographies
  • Identifying prospects’ project needs, budget, timelines, business issues and obstacles
  • Proactively participate in the innovation of new techniques and strategies for securing new accounts
  • Setting pre-qualified meetings, webcasts and conference calls for the outside sales team
  • Tracking all relevant activity including call/e-mail activity and lead qualification details into Salesforce.com
  • Assisting the Sales and Marketing team with various projects such as written correspondence, sending of marketing materials, etc.
  • Working with Marketing team to follow up on general outbound direct marketing
  • Attending company Marketing events as necessary

Qualifications include:

  • Lead generation, sales or marketing background; experience a plus
  • Comfortable with cold calling and multiple follow up techniques
  • Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers
  • Ability to initiate conversation and communication in a polite and engaging manner
  • Proven results-oriented lead generation skills
  • Self-motivated and ambitious, able to handle projects with minimal direction
  • Professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of a CRM system and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus
