Crop Yield Forecasts

Pre-harvest satellite images are compared against corresponding yield and acreage records to produce bi-weekly U.S. crop yield forecasts for wheat (winter, spring and durum), corn, soybeans, oats, barley and sorghum. Beginning with winter wheat emergence in mid-late March, individual crop forecasts at the crop reporting district, regional and national levels are published bi-weekly during the growing season.
